Maxine Thompson is the Founder of You Glow, dedicating her career to empowering women and girls to heal from trauma, rebuild confidence, and rediscover their purpose and hope. With over 25 years of experience across education, community and voluntary organisations, faith-based groups, the criminal justice system, and political offices, she brings deep insight into the complex challenges women and girls face at different stages of life.

Maxine specialises in coaching women and mentoring girls to overcome adversity and thrive personally and professionally. Her work includes supporting women rebuilding after domestic abuse, those preparing for reintegration following imprisonment, and young women navigating self-esteem, identity, and social pressures. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, and HE in Politics and International Relations, Advanced Transformational Coaching, Domestic Abuse and Violence Awareness, Making Connections (supporting women preparing to leave prison), the Salvation Army Build Programme (mentoring women who have experienced exploitation and trafficking), and Level 2 Counselling Skills.

Her approach is trauma-informed, safeguarding-led, and culturally sensitive, ensuring every woman and girl feels seen, heard, and valued. Through You Glow, Maxine creates safe spaces, transformative programmes, and mentoring pathways that empower women and girls not just to survive life’s challenges — but to truly flourish.
